The departure of Sean Jarvis from his role as Commercial Director at Huddersfield Town to become Chief Executive at Leicestershire County Cricket Club will end his near 14-year stint at the club.
It’s big news both for the club and Sean himself, and I wanted to reflect back briefly on my conversations with Sean on the Business Programme.
I had the pleasure of interviewing Sean Jarvis twice here on KLTV.
The first was in August 2018, prior to Huddersfield Town’s second season in the Premier League.
We had the opportunity then to reflect on the commercial implications for the club along with the involvement with the local community and opportunities available to the local business community.
The second was back in August 2019 when we considered the implications of life in the Championship and reflected on the significant changes that had taken place over the season, including that drama surrounding the change of shirt sponsorship.
On both occasions Sean was a pleasure to chat to. Thoroughly professional in his approach, with open and honest answers to whatever question was asked.
You could clearly see his passion for the club and its continued success, along with a genuine connection with both its commercial partners and extensive fan base. His social media engagement perfectly demonstrates this!
It’s certainly a challenging time at the moment, given the financial and logistical issues caused by the COVID-19 situation, to be taking on any new role, let alone that of Chief Executive. But here at KLTV we wish him all the best and would like to genuinely thank him for his contribution to Huddersfield Town, his engagement with all aspects of the local community, and finally his support for KLTV.
