Every year on 11 July in Kirklees we mark the Srebrenica Genocide. This year officers organising the event would like to meet with Community Groups and Schools across Kirklees, throughout July, to do a short presentation about the genocide and the reasons behind it, after which they would like to host a short discussion about the causes of the Genocide and how we can stop the discrimination and prejudice that lead to tragedies like this.
They would like to identify local groups/schools who would be interested in hosting the presentation/discussion sessions. Please contact Simon Campbell-Skelling on 01484 221000 Ext 71188 or email simon.campbell-skelling@kirklees.gov.uk or Mashuda Shaih on 01484 221000 Ext 71187 or emailMashuda.shaih@kirklees.gov.uk to find out more or to express an interest in hosting a session.
