This course looks at how we effectively use communication in everyday life, it is how we develop friendships in our personal life and how we ensure we gain understanding professionally. Through attending this course, you will learn how to actively listen to others, provide constructive feedback and how to prepare and deliver a presentation to colleagues.
Learning Objectives – Through the delivery of this workshop, we are enabling participants to:
Understand what constitutes effective communication
Develop their understanding of a range of tools to assist them communicate more effectively
Be able to select appropriate communication tools for appropriate audiences
Understand the component parts of a successful presentation to an audience
Make a presentation to a group that is “fit for purpose”.

Kyle is Joined by Jan Scrine from the Milestone Society, which has completed many heritage projects. One of which is to restore old milestones and finger signs.
After completion of the packhorse trail, some months ago now. She's hit on the idea of using the poem the Highwayman. As a way to teach children, not only the history surrounding milestones but also to teach children measurements in yards and miles.
