In this episode of the African Descendants Forum, Dr Milton Brown is joined by Ms Nana-Essi Casely-Hayford, storyteller, writer, and Creative Expression for Wellbeing Practitioner.
Rooted in a lineage of griots, storytellers, and medicine women, Nana-Essi draws on her Ghanaian heritage, personal experiences, and journey with chronic illness to inspire healing through creativity.
In this episode, we discuss her recent workshop, “Adinkra Unveiled – A Glance Through an Expressive Portal,” which explored the often-overlooked Akan hieroglyphics of West Africa.
Participants were invited to engage creatively, crafting their own codes and cyphers, and connecting deeply with the rich symbolism of the Akan culture.
