The new dementia day care facilities at Knowl Park House in Mirfield are advancing to their final stages. Several additions and advancements have been made since the last update of the building progress.
Since then, the exterior of the building is in the process of installing new fascia.
Contractors have been paving in the new south car park and have also created a footpath to the car park. In line with cleaner and greener agenda, the car park includes EV chargers, which have been installed. The entrance road to the car park is currently being created.
Work on the final fix mechanical and electrical is underway, final fix refers to all the elements that can be seen in the finished building and includes items such as sockets, switches, light fittings. As part of this the sanitaryware has now been fitted.
The furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) and the kitchens are now being fitted. The flooring and vinyl in the wet areas has also been fitted.
What’s Next?
Contractors will finish the hard landscaping within the new courtyard and start work on the soft landscaping. Work on the new fascias and installation of the soffits will come to an end. Also external lighting will be installed, and the new footpaths will be tarmacked.
New doors and final ceilings will go up inside the building and painting and decorating work continues.
