Record-breaking entries, rare breeds, and a family day out not to be missed at Farnley Tyas Showground
The much-loved Honley Show makes its grand return to Farnley Tyas Showground this Saturday, 28 June, with a fantastic forecast of dry weather and temperatures in the low 20s.
After last year’s success, the Honley Show volunteer team has pulled out all the stops to make this year even more impressive.
Among the headline changes for 2025 is the relocation of the mighty shire horses to the main show field for both preparation and competition.
Donkey classes will also join them in this central ring, creating a more accessible and engaging experience for visitors.
Record Entries in Dog Show Return
Following a triumphant return in 2024, the Kennel Club-accredited dog show is back and bigger than ever.
A record 390 dogs have been entered, with exciting new breeds on display including Bracco Italianos, Lancashire Heelers, Boston Terriers, and Rhodesian Ridgebacks.

A Message from the President
Ian Holmes, now in his second year as President of Honley Show Society Ltd, shared his excitement: “I thoroughly enjoyed my first year as President which culminated in a great 2024 show. The team have put together an even more exciting show this year.
“The support from local businesses has been tremendous in terms of both interest in trade stands and in sponsorship. Longley Farm are the show’s main sponsor but they are ably supported by a raft of very public-spirited businesses.
“The revised layout for the show should ensure that people don’t miss a thing except the poultry classes which unfortunately can’t be held this year due to movement restriction. Let’s hope that 2026 will bring better news on that score.”
