Lawrence Batley Theatre has collaborated with Front Room Productions to create an original virtual adaptation of Christmas classic ‘A Christmas Carol’.
The virtual play will tell the classic story of Ebenezer Scrooge and his encounter with the three ghosts of Christmas.
The online production will feature original music and animation by award-winning artists. The play features the voice of broadcaster Gyles Brandreth as Scrooge and over 40 local community members.
So far, the production has had positive reviews. The Stage, reviewing it as “evocative”… “a distinctive style all of its own.”
How it will work:
Lawrence Batley Theatre has outlined that once people have purchased a ticket for the online event, they will receive a password protected screening link.
Ticket holders will be able to enter their password and enjoy A Christmas Carol from their homes on the date that they booked their ticket.
Only one ticket per household is required. Tickets are priced at £11.50 and showings take place at 7.30 pm
Lastly, tickets are available throughout December until the 31st.
