EPIKS offers locals the chance to try electric cycling – plus a hands-on DIY maintenance workshop
If you’ve ever fancied the breeze in your face and the hum of wheels beneath you, but could do without the heavy pedalling on Kirklees’ hills, this August brings the perfect opportunity.
EPIKS (Environmental Projects in Kirklees) is hosting a series of free e-bike and e-cargo bike taster sessions, alongside a practical bike maintenance workshop, all designed to help more people discover the joys of cycling – with a little electric boost.
The events, funded by the UK Government through the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and supported by Kirklees Council, are open to adults aged 18 and over.
Children can join in for the e-cargo bike rides.
