Huddersfield came together to honour the sacrifices of those who have served in the Armed Forces during the Armistice Day remembrance service at Greenhead Park on Monday 11 November.

Led by Reverend Canon Rachel Firth of Huddersfield Parish Church, the ceremony saw the participation of dignitaries and representatives from various organisations, including the Royal British Legion, the Sikh Soldier Organisation, Kirklees Council, members of parliament, and distinguished veterans.

The event was a poignant tribute, reflecting the community’s respect and gratitude for those who served and sacrificed in times of conflict.

The gathering was marked by heartfelt speeches, the laying of wreaths, and a shared moment of silence, ensuring that the memory of the fallen continues to live on in the hearts of all who attended.
