The completion of the new dementia daycare facilities at Knowl Park House in Mirfield is drawing closer.

Contractors have been working in the courtyard including laying the resin surface for the footpaths and within the courtyard.

External lighting has been installed in the courtyard and soft landscaping is in progress ready for plants and flowers to be planted.

Installation of the terracotta paneling around the new building and the fascias and soffits is complete. Work has also been finished on the curtain walling.

Internally, the lighting inside the building is now being installed, including the specialist lighting in the new cinema room.

All the doors have been installed and furniture is now being brought into the new building.

As part of the final decorating, the acoustic timber panels will be installed, people living with dementia can be sensitive to loud noises so these will provide an element of soundproofing and help dampen the sound in potentially noisy areas.

Any outstanding mechanical and electrical systems works will also be completed.
