Creative Scene is set to host a free, family-friendly event this weekend at Crow Nest Park to celebrate Heritage Open Days in Dewsbury.

The event organised by Creative Scene and in partnership with The Friends of Crow Nest Park will take place in the Walled Garden and lawns on Sunday 8th September from 12 pm to 4 pm.

Heritage Open Days is England’s largest community led festival of history and culture, involving thousands of local volunteers and organisations. This year’s Heritage Open Days runs from Friday 6th to Sunday 15th September.

As part of the Creative Scene event, there will be lots of activities for the family to partake in, including Cloud Gazing, walkabout performances from Tillie and Trixie The Tea Ladies, circus skills, and arts and craft activities. No booking is needed for the Play Lawn activities.

The Tea party will take place in the Walled Garden with timed sittings taking place at 12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm. There will also be live music throughout the afternoon. Anyone wishing to have tea should book in advance using the following link: https://www.creativescene.org.uk/events/3361/

Creative Scene is a programme of arts, creative activities, and events made with and for the people of Kirklees. It seeks to encourage more people to experience and be inspired by the arts.
