The Huddersfield Caribbean Relief Committee (HCRC) will be hosting an event for the Caribbean community in Huddersfield. The event will take place to formally recognise and celebrate the generous efforts of the walking group, We in Front, who recently completed a sponsored walk to raise funds for vital relief initiatives in Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
The sponsorship donations collected by We in Front will be presented to HCRC at the event. These funds will directly contribute to providing essential supplies and long-term support to communities in Carriacou and Petite Martinique, which have faced significant challenges due to Hurricane Beryl.
Event Details:
- Date: Sunday, 3rd November 2024
- Time: 5:00 PM
- Location: Antilles Educational Social Club,163 Trinity Street, HD1 4DZ
This gathering serves as both a “thank you” to the walking group and all who supported their efforts, as well as an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the ongoing relief work HCRC is doing for Carriacou and Petite Martinique, such as sending a 20ft container and distributing relief items to the Islands. Islands which many people in the Huddersfield Caribbean community come from.
