North Huddersfield Trust School (NHTS) celebrated its annual Prize-Giving Evening at the Huddersfield Town Hall.

Each year, this highly anticipated event offers the school and wider community the opportunity to acknowledge the achievements and efforts of young people currently attending or who previously attended NHTS. Below is a video that shows highlights of the evening.

The event was attended by representatives from multiple local businesses and charitable organisations who form the school’s board of Trustees. These organisations sponsored awards to help make the event possible.

North Huddersfield Trust School maintains a close working relationship with its Trust partners whose settings range from community, education, sporting foundations, and companies with a global reach from the worlds of science and technology. This provides opportunities for students to widen their horizons and benefit from high-quality education beyond the classroom.

The Prize-Giving event featured guest speaker Nosheen Dad (Mayor of Kirklees). Nosheen, the first woman of colour and Muslim woman to become Mayor of Kirklees, delivered an inspiring speech to attendees.

Throughout the event, on-stage performances were delivered by students and the wider community.

Students received their awards as their parents, family, friends, and school community cheered them from the crowd.
