Crafted by the renowned sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor, this mesmerising installation solidifies Grenada’s position as a pioneer in eco-conscious tourism and artistic ingenuity.

The 30 captivating sculptures of boats adorned with the children’s faces of Carriacou and Petite Martinique students pay homage to the islands’ rich boat-building legacy and symbolise a steadfast commitment to marine conservation. Constructed using top-quality stainless steel and environmentally friendly pH-neutral marine cement, they function as artificial reefs, providing sanctuary for aquatic life and fostering regional biodiversity.

Hon. Tevin Andrews, Minister for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government, shared his enthusiasm, highlighting this underwater spectacle’s myriad benefits to the community. From boosting tourism and preserving cultural heritage to supporting marine life and creating employment opportunities, the sculpture park promises a wealth of positive impacts for Carriacou.
