The driving force behind the event is the Black Business Support Agency (BBSA), established in 2018 by a group of professional men from diverse backgrounds.

Over the years, the BBSA has forged partnerships with high-profile organisations including Lloyds Bank, Google, BBC Radio West Yorkshire, Business Kirklees, the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, and Entrepreneurs Helping Entrepreneurs.
