A brand new film and food festival is coming to Huddersfield from the 29th of July to the 1st of August.
The first of its kind four-day event will feature a variety of outdoor film, viewings, street food stalls, live comedy, music, short films and more.
The festival, presented by Adventure Cinema, is designed to be socially spacious and will be within COVID-19 guidelines.
The event will be taking place in Huddersfield’s Greenhead Park, and the main draw will likely be the large Outdoor cinema.
Lights, Camera, Action!
An eclectic mix of films will be shown over the four days, from family-friendly sing-a-longs to collections of independent short films and even live comedy performances. It looks like there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
The full list of films and dates is as follows:
July 29th | 18:00 – An evening of short films (15)
July 30th | 18:00 – Grease (PG) + Live Comedy
July 31st | 12:00 – Sonic the Hedgehog (PG)
July 31st | 18:00 – The Rocky Horror Picture Show (15) + live comedy
August 1st | 12:00 – The Greatest Showman Sing-a-long (PG)
August 1st | 17:30 – Joker (15) + Live Comedy
Food & Drink
As the event name suggests, films will not be the only thing available, as a wide range of street food and drink vendors will be in attendance, all curated by the Street Food Warehouse.
Featuring a wide variety of cuisine from up and down the country, there’s sure to be something for everybody.
With the last year spent socially distancing and staying at home, this is certainly going to be something that people can look forward to. It will hopefully be a good opportunity to bring folks together again in Huddersfield after being so split during these lockdown periods.
