Creative Steps is a new volunteer programme to help anyone interested in volunteering in the creative sector. This could include volunteering in Music, Theatre, Photography, Film, Fashion, Museums, Galleries, Design etc.
Applicants will get support to find a creative sector volunteer role or work placement as well as an opportunity to attend free workshops with creative professionals and help with applying for jobs and courses.
Third Sector Leaders Kirklees runs the accredited Volunteer Centre for Kirklees.

Role Description:
The Creative Steps programme can offer:
- One-to-one support to help find a Creative sector volunteer role (including one-off events and more regular volunteering).
- Opportunities to shadow creative professionals.
- Workshops to meet professionals from the creative sector, learn new skills and network.
- Support with applying for courses and paid employment.
To access support from the Creative Steps programme applicants will need to be 16 years or over, live in West Yorkshire, and with the right to work in the UK.
This is a very flexible opportunity which can be fitted around any other commitments. Travel expenses are reimbursed, and the programme’s small team can help applicants overcome any barriers.
This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

I would like too be apart of the creative steps program in the film industry as a cameraman or post production I’ve been interested in the film industry for a while now but opportunity never arose and life got in the way I would like to be a volunteer to learn new skills and hopefully it leads too paid employment please reply
