A creative candle making business is going green after igniting high levels of customer satisfaction in its first-ever analysis – continuing to improve mental health and well-being during these troubled times.
Founder of Huddersfield-based Snug Aromatics, Maureen Connor received five-star reviews about her range of handmade natural wax candles, reed diffusers and room sprays.
In conjunction with the University of Huddersfield, Maureen benefitted from three MBA students working with her. They recently created an in-depth questionnaire which was sent to over 400 customers – and the positive feedback left her humbled.
“Customer feedback is the ultimate endorsement and I was thrilled by the universal praise,” said Maureen.
“Core values are at the heart of everything we do. Each and every product is conceived and handmade, using natural ingredients which are personally sourced as local as possible.
“In addition, all Snug products contain no additives, paraffin, synthetic scents or chemicals and are cruelty-free and vegan friendly.
“The packaging is made from 100% recycled paper and raw materials are sustainable. It’s so rewarding to know customers value what we do.”
Maureen says the survey success has been the perfect source of motivation for her while she has been working on her pre-Christmas product innovation by developing a unique and ethical ‘green’ toiletries range, with bottles made of 100% fully recyclable and compostable sugar cane, as opposed to plastic.
With eighteen years of experience as an aromatherapist and perfumer, Maureen says the sense of smell is often underrated.
The award-winning business began three years ago and is based on 100% natural ingredients (such as Soy Wax) featuring 10 distinctive and unique scents.
While her clients currently include premier hotels, spas and select retailers, as well as a subscription service and direct sales through her website, Maureen says she has big plans to set her business further alight.
