Local hospice brings Yuletide cheer with Santa’s grotto, handmade gifts, and real Christmas trees for sale
Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice is set to kick off the festive season in style as it welcomes Santa and his friends to its 2025 Christmas Fayre on Sunday 30th November.
A Festive Fayre Full of Magic
This year’s Fayre promises a “tree-mendous” celebration for the whole family.
Visitors can meet Santa in his grotto, discover some of his mischievous friends hiding in the garden, browse stalls filled with handmade gifts, and enjoy a tombola, live choir, brass band, and tasty festive treats.
There’ll be hot chocolate, cakes, and a baked potato stall for those looking to refuel, as well as a unique opportunity to buy a real Christmas tree and even join a colouring club led by acclaimed local artist Roger Davies.

Real Christmas Trees with a Real Difference
Since 2019, Forget Me Not has run a popular Christmas tree collection and recycling service, and this year, for the first time, visitors can buy their tree directly from the hospice.
A selection of locally grown trees ranging from 4 to 8 feet tall will be available to purchase on the day, each netted and ready to take home.
Buyers can even book their post-Christmas collection at the same time, making it easier than ever to enjoy the magic of a real tree without the mess or stress.
For those unable to attend the Fayre, a few extra sale dates in early December will give people another chance to buy their tree and support the hospice’s vital work.
Local Artist Joins the Festivities
Adding a creative touch to the celebrations, Brighouse-based artist Roger Davies will host a colouring club featuring his distinctive, locally inspired artwork.
Roger said: “I was delighted when Forget Me Not got in touch to say they’d seen my paintings around Brighouse and invited me to be part of this year’s Christmas Fayre.
“I love to use my artwork to raise money for local good causes when I get the chance, and I’m looking forward to meeting hundreds of Forget Me Not supporters at Russell House.”

“Every Penny Helps Local Families”
Jessica Collins, Events Fundraiser at Forget Me Not, shared her excitement for the upcoming event: “We can’t wait to welcome people to this year’s Christmas Fayre.
“People are in for a treat with lots of opportunities to snap up Christmas gifts or even create your own at Roger Davies’ colouring club. We’ll have a baked potato stall, hot drinks and cakes so you can also get a yummy lunch or snack too.
Santa will be here of course, and to make it even more Christmassy we’ll have 200 beautiful real Christmas trees for people to choose from! These have kindly been donated to us, so every penny spent on a tree or at our Fayre will help us support local children and families.
Come and join the Christmas magic at Forget Me Not!”
