The National Coal Mining Museum for England is set to sparkle this winter as it unveils two brand-new Christmas experiences, promising festive fun for families across Yorkshire.

Breakfast with Mrs Claus

On Saturdays 6 and 13 December, visitors can kick-start their Christmas celebrations with a magical breakfast hosted by Mrs Claus in the Museum’s newly refurbished café. Children and adults alike will enjoy:

Santa’s Workshop Takes Over the Blacksmith’s Forge

From Saturday 22 November and throughout December, Santa himself will be taking up residence in the Museum’s historic Blacksmith’s Workshop, transformed into a twinkling toy-making wonderland.

Young visitors will:

• Journey through the beautifully decorated Pony Discovery Centre

• Meet Santa’s busy elves and charming Christmas characters

• Watch Santa prepare for the big day

• Craft their own wooden keepsake to take home

• Enjoy festive storytelling and creative activities

• Receive a special gift from Santa
