Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice is looking for volunteers to photograph and list their high-quality clothing and vintage items at their store on Manchester Road, Huddersfield.

Role Description:

The volunteer role will be based at the Forget Me Not Shop, Manchester Road, Huddersfield, HD1 3JF.

Forget Me Not uses eBay as an extra outlet for goods donated to their charity shops. The volunteer will be using eBay to research the price and availability of items already for sale, photographing items to sell, uploading information about goods for sale onto the eBay site, and then packing and posting sold items.

As a volunteer, high standards of customer service must be maintained. The volunteer will also help to maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.

Open hours are Monday – Friday 9 am to 5 pm, so any hours between these times are greatly appreciated, however ideally a volunteer will work half a day a week.

All volunteers are encouraged to attend training and volunteer meetings whenever possible.

A volunteer will be a representative of Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, as such volunteers need to be well-presented, polite and give a positive message about the work of the charity. Expenses are offered in line with the hospice’s expenses policy.
