Behind-the-scenes tours reveal the care, compassion, and community impact of Huddersfield’s hospice

Huddersfield’s Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice is inviting the community to step inside and discover the extraordinary care it provides for children with life-shortening conditions and their families.

This October, the hospice will host two special Open Days at Russell House, Fell Greave Road, Huddersfield, offering a rare glimpse into the dedication, compassion, and hope that define its work.

More Than a Hospice

Forget Me Not is more than just a hospice; it is a lifeline for families facing the toughest of challenges.

Each day, the charity provides specialist care, emotional support, and precious memories, but this vital work depends on the generosity of the community.

Visitors attending the Open Days will:

• Meet the dedicated team who deliver care and support.

• Hear moving stories from families who rely on the hospice.

• Discover ways to get involved—through volunteering, fundraising, or corporate partnerships.

Two Ways to Experience the Hospice

Schools, Groups & Business Open Day – Thursday, 9 October (10 am – 4 pm)

This day is tailored for schools, local businesses, and community groups, focusing on partnership and collaboration.

Visitors will tour the hospice, explore opportunities for sponsorship or fundraising, and see how collective effort can make a real difference.

Public Open Day – Saturday 11 October (10 am – 2 pm)

The hospice will then be open to the public on Saturday, with guided tours taking place every half hour.
