A groundbreaking theatrical experiment is set to make history this Black History Month as The Trial of Dedan Kimathi connects audiences locally, nationally and internationally in real time.
Performing at the Theatre in the Mill, Bradford and streamed live from Nairobi & London, the production marks the first-ever tripartite stage performance of its kind.
Honouring a Revolutionary Voice
The play offers a powerful reimagining of the life and legacy of Dedan Kimathi, the revered Mau Mau freedom fighter whose defiance helped shape Kenya’s struggle for independence.
His story will be brought to life through a bold blend of storytelling, performance and cross-border collaboration.
