The Holocaust Centre North, situated at the University of Huddersfield, will host an Evening of Commemoration on January 28, 2025.

This significant event offers an opportunity for the community to reflect on the six million Jewish lives lost during the Holocaust, as well as the victims of subsequent genocides worldwide.

The event will feature a distinguished group of speakers and performers, including Jen Kagan, Chair of Trustees and friend of Holocaust Centre North; Professor Caroline Sturdy Colls, Professor of Holocaust Archaeology and Genocide Investigation at the University of Huddersfield; Cantor Rachel Weston; and representatives from 6 million +, a creative arts project engaging refugees and local communities.

The Evening of Commemoration is open to the public and free to attend.

It will commence with the January public lecture, part of the ‘Research in Conversation’ series.

The programme includes a variety of talks and presentations, featuring creative and multi-media works designed to commemorate and reflect on this crucial chapter of history.
