Parent Sanctuary CIC, a support group based in Huddersfield, has been selected as a finalist for the Club Hub Awards 2023 in the category Non-Profit Business of the Year.
The awards, which are the only national awards for activity providers with entry by application form only and no voting, will be independently judged by a panel of experts who will select the winners for each of the individual award categories.
The judges will be looking for a commitment to excellence, innovation, and growth of their business, demonstrated through their business performance, achievements, brand values, and passion for what they do.
Supporting Parents
Parent Sanctuary is a Kirklees-wide Community Interest Company set up to help combat the isolation parents of young children faced during lockdowns in 2020 and 2021.
Driven by the passion, experience, expertise, and motivation of the directors, Parent Sanctuary has grown from offering two walks a week to now providing a wide range of weekly events, including walks, buggy running, baby carrier and baby sling support, and an indoor nature-based sensory and support group.
During each weekly session, parents have the opportunity for peer support and a chance to build their confidence, find calming techniques for themselves and their babies, and have more joy in early parenthood.
Parent Sanctuary has supported around 300 families in person and much more online in their parenting journey.
Awards
The Club Hub Awards are offered across 16 categories, and 93 finalists have been shortlisted from 420 applications, representing 215 businesses (Club Hub members).
The standard of applications was very high and represented a diverse range of kids’ activities, clubs, and related businesses.
The awards winners will be announced at the Club Hub Event 2023 on Saturday, May 13, at the Macdonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham.
The event is designed to help kids’ activity providers grow their businesses through guest speakers, workshops, and networking.
‘Celebrate’
“Huge congratulations to all our 2023 finalists; I can’t wait to celebrate all your achievements at the Club Hub Event in May,” said the event organiser.
The children’s activities industry is vital, and it is great to showcase the best to the whole UK.”
Parent Sanctuary hopes to bring a ray of sunshine back in the form of an award in recognition of their hard work.
The team looks forward to attending the event and welcomes donations towards travel costs for the day. For more information, visit their website at www.parentsanctuary.co.uk or find them on social media.
