During this uncertain time, now more than ever it is important to keep the streets clean and safe.
Following a survey carried out by Huddersfield BID, consumers and businesses have said that by having cleaner streets they will feel more comfortable to visit the town centre.
Huddersfield BID announced that the street clean team have completed the essential deep clean ready for the 15th of June.
The areas undertaken during this project were the full length of King Street, New Street, John William Street and Westgate as well as sanitising key hotspots throughout the BID area.
As well as street cleans the team has been busy ‘tarting’ up other areas of the town centre such as lamp posts, bins and railings along with graffiti removal in and around BID area.
The streets clean and ‘tarting up the town’ has made the town centre look cleaner and more attractive, having a positive impact on the perception of the town centre.
The BID team are hoping to deliver further deep street cleans throughout the area in the near future.
Huddersfield BID will continue with the ‘Tart up the Town’ project by implementing window vinyl’s, street art and floor graphics in key locations in and around Huddersfield Town Centre to promote a safe and attractive place to be.
