Paul’s disappearance on February 3rd 2024 sparked a massive search effort throughout Huddersfield and beyond, with hundreds of community members joining forces in hopes of finding him. Despite the heartbreaking conclusion to the search, the outpouring of love and solidarity has not waned.
Efforts are currently still underway to raise funds for his funeral expenses. A GoFundMe page, established to provide Paul with the farewell he deserves, has garnered significant support from both local residents and well-wishers from afar.
The fundraiser, initially aiming to reach £10,000, has already amounted to approximately 67.8% of the target goal, with a total of £6,780 raised to date. This reflects on the depth of care and respect the community holds for Paul, emphasizing their commitment to “giving him the self of he deserves.”
Many donors have left heartfelt messages on the GoFundMe page alongside their donations:
“Will miss you keeping me company at the bus stop, rest in peace.”
“I miss you everyday P. especially when am coming up Deighton Road or Woodhouse Hill where am always looking out for you to be somewhere. R.I.E. P, P.”
“Such a loving and caring no matter what he was going through, you’ll never be forgotten Paul and I’ll cherish the memories of you giving me a hug every time you saw me.”

Junior Montano, the GoFundMe fundraiser organizer stated: “We have unfortunately LOST A LEGEND OF BRACKENHALL and with all my heart I ask if we can help his family with the sending off of our brother Paul Alexander May you rest in paradise bro and from everyone in BRAX HD2 LEGEND you will be missed funeral date will be added as soon as the family have some time together.”
Close friends and family extend heartfelt gratitude to the community for their immense support in raising funds for the funeral:
