Huddersfield Literature Festival (HuddLitFest) has unveiled the first wave of events for its 2025 edition, promising a vibrant programme featuring some of the UK’s most celebrated writers, poets, and thinkers.
Early bird tickets are now available on their website, offering discounted prices until 23 April or until events sell out.
This year’s festival line-up boasts an impressive array of talent, including poetry performances from former Scottish Makar Jackie Kay and BBC radio regular Kate Fox, gripping mystery tales by Yvonne Battle-Felton and Lisa Rookes, and a special evening with former Labour cabinet minister Alan Johnson discussing his latest book on Harold Wilson.
HuddLitFest continues to champion local talent and unique stories, featuring Yorkshire crime fiction authors AA Dhand and Russ Thomas, alongside an afternoon with Rachel Joyce, the multi-million-copy bestselling author of The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry.

Huddersfield Literature Festival, a not-for-profit organisation, is calling for public support to help cover this year’s financial costs. With a third of their budget cut, they are fundraising through LocalGiving and have already reached over 40% of their £500 target.
Every donation helps ensure the festival continues to bring award-winning and family-friendly events to the community.
