Egg producer streamlines trade ordering with 24/7 SwiftCloud-powered e-commerce system
Huddersfield-based software company Adventoris has delivered a major digital upgrade for leading UK egg producer Bird Brothers, launching a bespoke B2B e-commerce platform to transform how the firm manages trade orders.
Built on Adventoris’ flagship SwiftCloud platform, the new online portal allows Bird Brothers’ wholesale, retail and foodservice customers to browse products, check prices, place orders and access account information around the clock, replacing manual processes previously handled by phone and email.
Family Business Embraces Digital Transformation
Bird Brothers, founded in 1969 by twins Carl and Peter Bird, has grown into a powerhouse of British food production, now delivering up to five million fresh eggs every week.
Today, the second-generation leadership team, brothers Matthew and Stuart Bird, is driving a wider programme of investment across infrastructure, robotics and brand identity.
The launch of the B2B platform marks a key step in the company’s modernisation strategy, designed to improve accessibility and enhance service efficiency for trade partners.
Real-Time Ordering Meets Back-End Efficiency
The fully branded system integrates directly with Bird Brothers’ internal software, giving customers live access to product availability, pricing and order history while drastically reducing the company’s administrative workload.
“A Forward-Thinking British Food Business”
James Clarkson, CEO and founder of Adventoris, said: “Bird Brothers is a great example of a forward-thinking British food business that recognises the value of digitisation.
“By adopting SwiftCloud, they’ve been able to simplify the ordering process, reduce admin time, and improve the overall customer experience.
“It’s been fantastic to work with their team to deliver a solution that reflects their commitment to innovation and service.
“Seeing businesses like Bird Brothers unlock efficiency through technology is exactly what SwiftCloud was designed to do.”
Matthew Bird, director at Bird Brothers, added: “As our business continues to expand, we needed a more efficient and accessible way for trade customers to place and manage orders.
“Working with Adventoris has given us the technology and support to achieve that.
“Our customers now have a smoother, more reliable way to order from us, which is helping us strengthen relationships and streamline operations.”
Adventoris Continues to Scale
Founded in 2012 by James Clarkson and CTO Aman Shergill, Adventoris now employs 50 staff at its Huddersfield headquarters and supports more than 225 clients, including major brands such as PepsiCo, STAEDTLER and AG Barr.
