More than ever businesses need each other’s support as well as community support during this pandemic.
Huddersfield BID has been talking to Independent businesses on how they have strived through this lockdown to date, to keep their businesses open virtually.
Huddersfield BID is very proud of how businesses within the town center have come together to form a community and provide success to its customers.
The lockdown has had an impact on public social life and evenings out to the pub or a restaurant.
Businesses in Huddersfield have found ways to provide services to the public, allowing them to enjoy their nights-in with their food and delivery services, such as Arcade Coffee & Food, The Parish, and Kwas.
Arcade Coffee & Food has set out to challenge the business difficulties due to Covid-19 by providing a delivery service to its many customers, with new daily vegan menus and a choice of drinks from retailed Darkwood’s Coffee to beers from the Magic Rock Brewery.
There is also a selection of homemade jams and peanut butter available. A service you could only get from visiting the cafe is now virtually available during this lockdown right to your door.
They have been busy with high demand but continue to deliver fresh and delicious foods. Businesses in the drinks and food industry can take an example from this and continue to strive through the pandemic.

Essential Businesses located in the Queensgate Market, Huddersfield, have also come together as a business community to support one another in the Covid-19 Pandemic to provide a successful delivery service for those struggling to leave the house.
Cowlings, Greengrocers, Quality Butchers, and PudPuds have come together to offer a successful delivery service to its customers of fresh vegetables, fruits, meats, and pet essentials.

Crafty Praxis, a handmade, quirky gift shop has focused on providing delivery to its customers through the use of social media and online websites.
During the lockdown there is no need to worry about buying your loved ones a gift, simply visit the store online and have special, unique gifts delivered to your loved ones.
Huddersfield BID is here to help businesses pull through and we are here to help you. We look forward to hearing how your business is pulling through and the ideas you have come up with to keep your business striving.
