TSL Kirklees is recruiting for three key roles for a new community-led initiative set to address fuel poverty in Kirklees.

The project, ‘Energy Neighbours,’ aims to bring together community organisations and residents groups to tackle energy issues collaboratively, build partnerships, and develop innovative working methods.

Taking place across Kirklees in Batley, Heckmondwike, Dewsbury, and Huddersfield; Energy Neighbours is set to officially in February 2025.

About the Project

Energy Neighbours focuses on reducing high energy costs that burden both community buildings and homes, particularly those already facing challenging circumstances.

By lowering energy expenses, the initiative seeks to retain more funds within the community.

Additionally, it aims to boost community businesses, promote renewable energy, and provide training for well-paying jobs, thereby generating further economic benefits.

The project’s overarching goals include strengthening community organisations and partnerships, reducing inequalities, and enhancing community well-being, all while promoting more sustainable living practices.

Job Vacancies

The project has secured three years of funding from The National Lottery Climate Action Fund, enabling TSL Kirklees to assemble a dedicated staff team and allocate resources for community activities, support, and education.

Currently, TSL Kirklees is recruiting for three key positions within the Energy Neighbours project:

• Project Manager, 37 hours per week, £42,000 per annum (Full time salary to allow comparison, this role is full-time)
• Project Coordinator, 30 hours per week, £29,900 per annum (Full time salary to allow comparison, this role 0.81 of full-time)
• Information and Data Manager, 23 hours per week, £33,650 per annum (Full time salary to allow comparison, this role is 0.62 of full-time)
