Strong A-Level and vocational results mark another year of achievement

Students across Kirklees are celebrating a successful summer of academic results, with thousands achieving strong outcomes in both A-Levels and vocational qualifications.

Impressive Results Across the Board

Around 3,500 young people sat A-Levels and Level 3 qualifications this year in schools and colleges across the district.

Results show an A-Level pass rate of *97.9% (A–E), while vocational students achieved a *91.8% pass rate (Distinction–Pass).

These figures highlight the continued commitment of young people in Kirklees to excel academically and take confident steps towards their future careers and studies.

“Truly Inspiring” Achievements

Councillor Jane Rylah, Cabinet Member for Education, praised the efforts of students and the wider support network that has helped them succeed.

“I am immensely proud of the accomplishments of our students, she said.

“The dedication and resilience they have shown is truly inspiring and will open up exciting new opportunities for their futures.

“I would also like to recognise the vital support from schools, colleges, teachers, and families in helping students achieve these successes.”

Looking Ahead

As students prepare for their next steps, whether progressing to higher education, apprenticeships, employment, or taking a gap year, support and guidance are available from UCAS and C+K Careers.

The results also reflect the ambitions of Our Kirklees Futures, the borough’s long-term strategy to ensure every child and young person can aspire, achieve, and thrive.

The initiative unites education providers and wider partners to create opportunities for learners of all ages to enjoy exceptional experiences and develop a lifelong love of learning.
