Kirklees Local TV visited the Chestnut Centre’s Family Fun Day on Saturday, November 2nd. The event featured a variety of free activities for all ages, free refreshments, music, and more.
Visitors enjoyed various activities, including a ‘Culture Cuisine’ cooking demonstration, a Baby Boutique pop-up shop, yoga and mindfulness sessions, a captivating big drum performance, a ‘Spooky Children’s Party,’ and a diamond art session.
There were also numerous children’s activities throughout the day, a raffle, and tours of the Chestnut Centre.
Several groups and organisations participated, providing valuable services and information.
Locala offered childhood immunisations, Medicare provided flu and COVID vaccinations, Get Set Goal from the University of Huddersfield conducted health checks, and Xyla Health shared insights on their Diabetes Remission Programme. The Pennine Domestic Abuse Partnership was also present, offering support and resources.
