The 2019 Booker Prize winner and Sunday Times bestseller’s book follows the lives of 12 predominantly female and black people in Britain aged from 19 to 93.
As well as her great novel success, Bernardine Evaristo is also a Professor of Creative Writing at Brunel University. Bernardine has produced numerous works of poetry, short fiction, essays, radio, and theatre drama. Her writing and projects are based around her interest in the African diaspora.
This lecture is given in honour of JB Priestley (1894-1984) and is in partnership with the Priestley family and the English and Creative Writing Department at the University of Huddersfield.
The event will last 1 hour and be held at The University of Huddersfield in the Oastler Building 0A4/01.
