Millwall Form
Millwall hosts a struggling Huddersfield Town team this afternoon, looking for their third consecutive victory in so many matches in the championship.
Millwall is currently sitting 6th in the championship standings, while Huddersfield comes into this one on the backs of drawing two of their last three matches.
With remaining a menace in the push for the playoffs, the lions come into this one in a good run of form, having recorded back-to-back wins for the first time in nearly five months this week.
Millwall will be looking to capitalise further off the back of a 0-1 away win at Reading three days earlier.
This game is one of the more favourable fixtures for Millwall, who now hold a four-point lead over the chasing pack.
As previously stated, having come into this match in stunning form, the Millwall manager will know that complacency can not afford to creep in as his side faces a Huddersfield Town team fighting for their lives to stay in the division at the foot of the Championship table.
Team News
Huddersfield need fresh progress and quickly if they are to avoid relegation to League One, but Neil Warnock will take pleasure in knowing that his side has made progress, having conceded two goals in their past three matches.
In hindsight, Huddersfield will know that only wins in the short term will do, and they can’t afford to drop points anywhere.
With the West Yorkshire outfit now under a transfer embargo and potentially being threatened with points deductions, another issue is whether it will even matter by the season’s end.
Meanwhile, Warnock will have to decide which formation he goes with after he switched to a 4-4-2 against Norwich City in the week.
Brahima Diarra likely returns to the starting eleven for either Danny Ward or Martyn Waghorn. Matty Pearson can also return at right-back should he replace Rarmani Edmonds-Green.
Predictions
I am going for a 0-0 in this one, it will be a close contest with both sides threatening either side, but I am going with this prediction because I feel Millwall will hit a stumbling block in their continued push for a playoff place. At the same time, Huddersfield are also struggling to find any natural prowess in front of the goal at the other end.
