Weekly event offers job help, wellbeing advice and friendly conversation — plus a chance to win an air fryer just for showing up

Mondays just got a whole lot brighter at The Chestnut Centre in Huddersfield, thanks to the launch of Marvellous Mondays, a new weekly drop-in designed to lift spirits, connect neighbours and offer practical support in a relaxed and welcoming space.

Running every Monday from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm at 2A Chestnut Street (HD2 1HJ), the event is open to absolutely everyone.

Whether you’re looking for advice, company, or just an excuse for a brew and a slice of free cake, you’ll find it here.

Support, Conversation, and Cake

Visitors can stroll in at any time and access a variety of free support options under one roof. Friendly staff and community partners are on hand to help with:

• Job searching or CV support

• Information on baby supplies and childcare

• Health and well-being advice

• Library membership registrations

• Volunteering and local community opportunities

Or, if you’re not in the mood for anything formal, you’re equally welcome to sit down with a cuppa and enjoy a chat.

Win an Air Fryer

To celebrate the launch, anyone who drops in within the first four weeks will automatically be entered into a raffle to win an air fryer.

No forms, no fuss, just pop in and your name goes in the draw.

There’s no need to book ahead. Marvellous Mondays is designed to be easygoing and judgment-free, whether you stay for five minutes or the full four hours.
