First session to spotlight why military spouses are a powerful but overlooked recruitment advantage for UK employers
An organisation has announced the launch of its 2026 Business Advantage Workshop series, beginning on 28 January with the first of four sessions: ‘The Future of Talent – Why Military Spouses Are the Workforce Advantage You’re Missing.’
Recruit for Spouses, an independent and award-winning social enterprise, supports and champions an often-overlooked talent pool: the spouses and partners of members of the Armed Forces.
The organisation works to challenge outdated assumptions about mobility and suitability, providing military spouses with the skills, confidence and tools to return to the workplace and excel in their chosen careers.
They offer specialist insight into the employment challenges facing military spouses and foster a supportive community to help them re-enter work successfully.

What the Workshop Will Cover
As UK employers head into another year marked by talent shortages, rising recruitment costs and pressure to hire more effectively, many continue to overlook a highly skilled, resilient and often security-cleared workforce: military spouses.
The 60-minute session will highlight:
- Where the UK’s most significant skills gaps are emerging
- The unique capabilities military spouses offer, including resilience, adaptability and independent problem-solving
- How becoming a Forces Friendly employer supports Armed Forces Covenant commitments — and why signing the Covenant benefits both the military community and businesses
- How leading organisations already harness military spouse talent for immediate impact
- Low-risk methods for employers to begin hiring military spouses straight away
- How spouse employment strengthens ESG delivery, social value outcomes and Defence credibility
Who Should Attend?
The session is aimed at employers planning January recruitment, those seeking a competitive hiring advantage, and organisations wanting to become Forces Friendly.
Spaces are limited, and early registration is recommended. Registration is available on the Recruit for Spouses website.
