OAKWELL ARTISAN EMPORIUM RETURNS TO OAKWELL
Sunday 4 June 11am-4pm
Oakwell Artisan Emporium will be opening its doors for the first time this year at Oakwell Hall, Birstall on Sunday 4 June, featuring some of West Yorkshire’s finest independent artisans. Visitors can browse a large selection of stalls housed in the beautiful old Oakwell Barn in the Courtyard, including paintings & prints, artisan crafts, clothing & accessories, deli preserves and vintage.
Stalls include Sweet n Twisted’s very unusual artisan jams; gorgeous home accessories, ceramics and vintage from Apple Blossom Home and Sue Geldard; contemporary macramé accessories from ‘Get Knotted’ and original artwork from Rachael Gorton and Eric Humphries as well as rag dolls, toys, handmade children’s clothes, knitted goods, needlefelt animals, cards, woodwork and much, much more.
Admission is free and the Emporium runs between 11am-4pm.
A Classic Car Rally, organised by the Yorkshire Rover Club, takes place on the same day on the front lawn of the Hall featuring classic cars of all makes and models and is also free admission so the two events together make a fantastic day out!
The newly refurbished Oakwell Hall will also be open and visitors to the Artisan Emporium can get Half Price Entry into the Hall for one day only to see the wonderfully evocative 17th century period room displays. The attractive Oakwell site also includes over 100 acres of country park, period gardens, gift shop, café and picnic areas plus free parking.
