West Yorkshire Police have issued a second public appeal in the search for a missing and wanted man who was last seen by his family in April.

40-year-old Martin Sales is wanted on suspicion of serious assault, with police also harbouring concerns regarding his current welfare. 

Police originally appealed for information pertaining to the whereabouts of Martin Sales in mid-April.

An initial appeal was made for any information on the whereabouts of Sales on April 16th, however, in a follow-up statement made on the evening of May 2nd, Detective Inspector Chris Middleton said the police are now in possession of “information which has raised concerns for his own wellbeing”, prompting a second appeal.

Sales may have been in Porthmadog, North Wales, on April 26th per police intelligence. D/Sgt Middleton added that “enquiries remain focussed in the North Wales area.”

Mr Middleton went on to say: “Clearly it is important we find him as quickly as possible both for investigative purposes and to check on his own well-being.”
