Top UK blues acts unite for a soulful Sunday of music and solidarity at Amped

Huddersfield is set to host a powerful afternoon of live music and compassion as Love Music Hate Racism, Huddersfield Blues Club, and Sunday Blues Train join forces for Blues for Palestine, a special fundraising event in aid of Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP).

The concert takes place on Sunday, 14 December, from 1 pm to 7 pm, at Amped on Zetland Street, promising an evening of top-tier blues, art, and community spirit.

A Line-Up Steeped in Soul

Headlining the event is the award-winning Kyla Brox Blues Train, fronted by the powerhouse vocalist Kyla Brox, hailed as “Manchester’s answer to Aretha Franklin” by Factory Records’ Tony Wilson.

Brox, winner of both the European Blues Challenge and UK Blues Challenge, brings her renowned mix of soul, R&B and blues-rock alongside her seasoned bandmates Danny Blomeley (bass), Paul Farr (guitar), and Luke Flowers (drums).

Also taking the stage is The Pat Fulgoni Blues Experience, whose debut album hit No. 3 on the UK Blues Airplay Chart and earned a UK Blues Awards nomination.

Frontman Pat Fulgoni, known for his “powerful vocal delivery” and eclectic musical collaborations, will be joined by Jacob Beckwith (guitar), Rory Wells (bass), Sam Bolt (keys), and Zebedee Sylvester (drums).

The line-up also features Memphis D & Steve Augarde, bringing a mellow acoustic blend of guitar, sax, and classic blues, and Spencer Grant, performing an evocative set of Delta Blues tunes.

Adding a creative twist, Fresh Kids will deliver live art throughout the afternoon.
