A pop-up street food festival, ‘HuddersFeast – Get Your Feast On 2023’, will be a relaxed three-day street food event organised by Huddersfield BID, the Business Improvement District.
The event will be held in St George’s Square, in the shadow of Huddersfield Railway Station, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 22nd, 23rd and 24th.
Entry is free, and visitors can stop off for a casual bite to eat and a drink or two while enjoying everything else the town centre offers. It’s very much an informal, family event with something for everyone.
The full line-up of food and drinks vendors is still to be announced, but there will be over ten food trucks in attendance, including flavours from Mexican, Levantine, Portuguese and Italian cuisines.
Here are some of the confirmed food and drink vendors:
- Braizin’ Squad: Braised, roasted and fire-cooked meats
- Good Boy Burger: Smash burgers
- Pizza Loco: Neo-Neapolitan pizza
- Spuds & Bros: Canadian poutine
- MorMor: Levantine-inspired mezze and small plates
- Luigi Street Food: Italian panzerotti and arancini
- Mario’s Mobile Kitchen: Portuguese cuisine
- Rabbit Hole Coffee: Proper good coffee

Visitors also have the option to go to the Head of Steam for their favourite tipple, as the venue is offering takeout cups.
There will also be roaming acoustic musicians and performances across the event, including the Jelly Roll band on Friday night and Sunday afternoon.
Sunday will focus on families with fun-filled activities for children, including face-painting, a magician, a balloon artist and giant lawn games.
Sam Sharp, Huddersfield BID Manager, says the event promises to be a laid-back, late summer highlight and added: “HuddersFeast is a pop-up street food festival where people can just kick back and chill.”
“The event will have a relaxed atmosphere where people can drop in, try some deliciously tasty food and then go off and enjoy everything that the town centre has to offer, be that shopping, culture and the arts or the many hospitality venues.”
Ms Sharp further added: “HuddersFeast is all about the food, and the emphasis is on trying different cuisines from around the world. Savoury or sweet, there’s bound to be something to tickle your tastebuds!”
“We want people to be coming and going all the time and would encourage them to explore Huddersfield town centre and find their new favourite places.”

HuddersFeast – Get Your Feast On 2023 is the latest in a series of events organised by Huddersfield BID, which have brought thousands of people into the town centre.
In June, the sci-fi festival and comic convention Get Your Geek On had people thronging the streets. Official figures show that footfall was 132,910, a 9% increase on the same day last year.
And running throughout August is the popular – and free to enter – Huddersfield Lego Trail with three chances to win £50-worth of Lego.
Huddersfield BID is a non-profit, levy-payer-funded organisation which promotes the Huddersfield town centre.
Ms Sharp added: “It’s been a great summer of events in the town centre so far – and it’s not over yet! We hope HuddersFeast will be the best yet, and we’d love to make it an annual event.”
HuddersFeast will be open as follows: Friday, 22nd September, 11 am-9 pm; Saturday, 23rd September, 11 am-9 pm; and Sunday, 24th September, 10 am-4 pm.
