Residents Invited to Nominate Community Groups, Charities and Volunteer Projects
A new community funding initiative has been launched by Tenpin Dewsbury, giving local residents the opportunity to help a deserving community organisation receive a £1,000 donation.
The entertainment venue is inviting nominations for local charities, grassroots organisations, sports clubs, youth groups and volunteer-led initiatives that are making a positive impact across Dewsbury and the surrounding area.
The scheme aims to celebrate the dedication of local volunteers and organisations while giving the community a direct say in which cause will benefit from the funding.
Nominations Open Until 30 July
The nomination process opens today, with members of the public able to submit entries via an online form until Thursday 30 July.
Once nominations have closed, the three organisations receiving the highest number of nominations will progress to the final stage, where the winner will be decided through a public vote.
Voting boxes will be available inside Tenpin Dewsbury, allowing visitors to cast their vote for the organisation they believe deserves the funding.
The public voting period will run for six weeks, from Monday 3 August to Friday 11 September, with the organisation receiving the most votes awarded the £1,000 community donation.
Supporting the Local Community
Marc Couget, Regional Manager at Tenpin Dewsbury, said: “At Tenpin, we’re proud to be part of the Dewsbury community and want to support the incredible organisations and volunteers who work tirelessly to make a real difference.
“This scheme gives local people the opportunity to champion the causes they care about most, and we’re excited to see the community come together to help choose the winner.”
Anyone wishing to nominate a local group, charity or community initiative is encouraged to complete the online nomination form before the closing date.
