In this episode, Judy Hinchliffe is joined in the studio today by artist, dancer, choreographer, author and educator, Hardeep Singh Sahota.

Hardeep’s roles in the artistic sector include being a Cultural Ambassador of Lawrence Batley Theatre, an Affiliate Fellow of the University of Huddersfield, founder of World Bhangra Day, and author of Bhangra: Mystics, Music & Migration and The Bhangra Lexicon, a project that captures the dance visually with calligraphic strokes in light.

Hardeep is a qualified teacher of art and photography and teaches at a local school. He also teaches Bhangra dancing at the Lawrence Batley Theatre.

He is passionate about celebrating the beauty of Bhangra music and dance and preserving the cultural heritage of the Panjab.
