I have liked styling clothes (dressing up) in my way, ever since I was young.

I find that clothing can give you confidence in your own body and can express your personality. I wear multiple different styles I don’t stick to one aesthetic, for example: Acubi , Y2k, Modern and much more.

In my opinion, fashion is also a type of art that you are displaying on yourself, not on a canvas, and people will turn around and admire you like the art in the museum.

It gives the people a view of who you are just from a look. Clothing can be comfort, therapy or happiness for someone depending on their point of view. Many influencers have inspired me on what to wear and even when looking at a painting I imagine what the painting would be if it was converted into an outfit or what the artist’s style would be.

Inspiration

One of my favourite artists is Hayao Miyazaki. He is a Japanese animator, filmmaker and manga artist, he is the co-founder of the famous Animation company called Studio Ghibli.

I love Studio Ghibli because of his drawings. The movies give you a sort of comfort and to wish to be inside the world of the film. Studio Ghibli’s films have given me inspiration on what to wear, for example, the movie My Neighbor Totoro.

The film reminds me of a girl who is carefree and wears a red airy shirt with dark blue denim shorts with beige sandals and her hair in a bun with a red bow. The film inspires me to wear colourful clothes and to wear what I’m feeling.

Shopping Locally

You can buy many clothing items in Huddersfield. NewLook is a great clothing store which is available online and in Huddersfield inside Kingsgate. It has many clothes in many styles for all seasons and also has a wide range of sizes for all ages.

Next is one of the biggest stores in the UK. They have amazing jeans in really good quality that are long-lasting, and they have a wide range of sizes and also in heights. Next, even have a section for people who are short or tall and are very comfortable.

Next is available online and in Huddersfield in Kingsgate as well.

Emmiol is an online clothing store which is available in an app, so it is not an actual store in Huddersfield. Emmiol have fast shipping and lots of clothing which often trend on social media. Their clothes come in a lot of different aesthetics, so if you can’t find your style in any stores, Emmiol will have it because of its wide range of styles and wide range of sizes.
