Amber & Greene is offering a tailored community leadership capacity-building initiative for community groups in Kirklees from Black African and Caribbean (BAC) and underrepresented communities.

The aim of this initiative, Connected Voices, is to strengthen resilience, foster inclusiveness, and build a strong sense of belonging in respective communities.

This programme of sessions is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).

The Connected Voices Programme consists of:

• 1:2:1 Diagnosis Session: an experienced facilitator will highlight key issues and patterns. This session will be useful to ensure that the programme is specifically tailored to each respective group/organisation’s needs, and it will also help to inform the content of the programme.
• Masterclasses & Reflective Sessions: masterclasses are designed to identify key issues, and after each masterclass groups will partake in a reflective session with an experienced facilitator. These sessions will provide an opportunity for groups to discuss and explore tailored solutions to their respective challenges, and allow them to instigate effective changes.
• Networking Sessions: after the masterclasses and reflective sessions, groups will have the opportunity to attend a networking event, where they can meet community leaders, key companies, and potential partners.

Applications are open until Tuesday 11th June 2024, with Connected Voices running from June to September 2024.

This initiative is also supported by the Mayor of West Yorkshire and the West Yorkshire Combined Authority.
