Last Saturday, over 1500 people walked from St George’s Square to Greenhead Park in support of the Black Lives Matter Movement
The ‘impeccably behaved’ event saw powerful and emotional speeches from community activists, as well as minute silence in remembrance of George Floyd and all those who have suffered from police brutality.
Local Videographer Rizman captured the event on film for KLTV, following the crowd as the moved from the station to the park.
Protesters carefully followed social distancing rules as best they could, especially as the huge gathering turned out to be much larger than expected.
Below is a collection of photos from the event, taken by local photographer Jack Raistrick.
