Tommy’s Lounge is a unique and welcoming space designed to provide a sense of community for everyone, especially veterans.

Officially opened in September 2022 near Huddersfield Train Station, Tommy’s Lounge is the brainchild of Jennie Thorn, Mick Riley MBE, and Sue Longbottom. This cosy haven is adorned with military memorabilia, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere where veterans and their families can feel at home.

The team at Tommy’s Lounge recently partnered with the Huddersfield Town Foundation, to host a regular Veterans and Armed Forces Lunch Club, where folks can meet for a chat, as well as grab a free sandwich and brew. The group’s inaugural event kicked off in style with a special visit from Huddersfield Town legend Andy Booth.
