From symphonic rock and soul legends to 80s anthems and Motown classics, Kirklees Town Halls are kicking off 2026 with a diverse line-up of live shows

Kirklees Town Halls are welcoming the New Year with an impressive programme of live music, bringing internationally recognised acts, tribute shows and touring productions to local stages throughout 2026.

The newly announced season promises something for all music lovers, spanning rock, soul, pop, disco and orchestral performances, with several shows making their Huddersfield debut.

Muse Reimagined with a Symphonic Twist

One of the headline events sees Muse: A Symphonic Tribute arrive in Huddersfield for the first time.

Performed by Newland Symphonic Pop, the show combines NSP Singers, a rock band and a 25-piece orchestra to reinterpret Muse’s biggest hits in a powerful orchestral setting.

Fans can expect dramatic new arrangements of tracks such as Uprising, Knights of Cydonia and Won’t Stand Down.

The performance is recommended for audiences aged 12 and over due to strong language.

Soul and Disco Icons Take Centre Stage

Legendary vocal group The Three Degrees are also set to perform, bringing their signature blend of soul and disco to Kirklees.

Known worldwide for classics including When Will I See You Again and Dirty Ol’ Man, the group promises an evening of smooth harmonies, glamour and nostalgia.

Meet and Greet tickets will be available for fans hoping to get closer to the iconic act.

A Full-Blown 80s Party

For those ready to dance, 80s LIVE will deliver a high-energy celebration of one of pop music’s most loved decades.

Featuring a live band and cast, the show includes more than two dozen chart-topping hits from artists such as Wham!, Madonna, Rick Astley and Culture Club, recreating the feel-good spirit of the era.

Celebrating Musical Legends

Several shows in the programme pay tribute to some of music’s most influential artists.

Hejira, a seven-piece band, will celebrate the late-1970s work of Joni Mitchell, drawing on material from albums such as Hejira and Mingus.

Fronted by Hattie Whitehead, the group recreates songs including Amelia, Woodstock and A Case of You with meticulous musicianship.

Meanwhile, Queen of the Night will honour the legacy of Whitney Houston, featuring live vocals and band performances of her greatest hits, including I Wanna Dance With Somebody and I Will Always Love You.

From Scottish Pop to Motown Magic

Scottish pop favourites Hue and Cry will bring their ElectroAcoustic show to Huddersfield Town Hall, offering stripped-back, soulful versions of hits such as Labour of Love and Looking for Linda.

The season also sees the return of The Magic of Motown, touring in celebration of its 20th anniversary.

The show features classic songs made famous by Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and The Supremes, complete with choreography and period-inspired costumes.

Tickets and Booking Information

Tickets for all shows are now on sale through Kirklees Town Halls.

Prices are subject to a booking fee of up to 10 per cent, capped at £2 per ticket, whether booked online, by phone or in person.

With such a wide-ranging programme, organisers say the 2026 season underlines Kirklees Town Hall’s role as a major live music destination for the region.
