Forget Me Not children’s hospice opens its popular Bridal Suite for a special Valentine’s weekend celebration
Brides-to-be are being invited to say “I do” to the perfect wedding dress this Valentine’s weekend, as Forget Me Not children’s hospice throws open the doors of its much-loved Holmfirth Bridal Suite.
The charity is hosting a special open weekend on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 February, welcoming brides-to-be and their mothers to browse its stunning collection without the need for an appointment.
The event also marks a milestone for the Bridal Suite, which will be celebrating its first birthday.
Since opening in 2025, the suite has quickly gained a reputation as a destination for wedding dress shopping, attracting visitors from as far afield as Newcastle, Cumbria, Lichfield and Peterborough.
Browse, be inspired, book later
While the Bridal Suite usually operates on an appointment-only basis, Valentine’s weekend offers a more relaxed experience.
Visitors can pop in, browse the collection and, if they wish, book a future appointment to try on dresses in more detail.
The suite stocks a wide range of new, vintage and high-quality pre-loved wedding dresses, alongside bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride outfits.
Accessories, including shoes, veils, bags and jewellery are also available, making it a one-stop shop for the big day.

Supporting families while finding ‘the one’
Andrea Titherington-Kay, Forget Me Not’s head of retail, said: “Sharon and the team at our Holmfirth shop have poured their heart and soul into creating a stylish, warm and welcoming space for brides-to-be and their family and friends.
“To be part of such a special occasion in someone’s life is an absolute honour, and it’s so lovely that shopping for a wedding dress can also help the children and families we support too.
“Normally, we book people in for a 90-minute appointment, but for Valentine’s weekend, the bridal suite is open for people to pop in and browse and see the very high quality and range of our dresses before making the commitment of an appointment.
“We have a range of modern and vintage dresses, including many well-known brands. Prices range from £50 to about £750 for brides, £30 to £500 for bridesmaids and mother of bride dresses, with dresses in sizes from 6 up to 24.
“In most sizes we have something in fit and flare, fishtails, straight and cocktail dresses. We always have a stock of shoes in a range of heel heights so our brides can make sure the dress will be the right length for the shoes they’ll wear on their wedding day.
“People love the great value of our dresses and the fact it’s a sustainable option. And the mix of new and vintage dresses means you can choose from a range of styles and eras to get the look you want for your big day. So, if you said yes to your special someone, why not come along and say yes to your perfect dress too!”
