KLTV sat down with Horace Barnes, Founder and Chairman of the “Why Are West Indians In This Country?” (WAWI) Project, to explore the historical realities behind Caribbean migration to Britain and the lasting contributions of West Indian communities.

Drawing on years of research, community engagement and personal experience, Horace explains how the project began following the death of his uncle, a passenger on the Empire Windrush, and how it has grown into an important initiative documenting over 500 years of Caribbean contribution to British society.
